VPN Setup Guide
Check your account and plan first, then get your subscription and import it into a client. Finally, test access to the services you need. Once setup is complete, choose a server based on how you use the service.
Create an Account and Open the User Dashboard
Open the account page below and choose a username and password. Q7VPN does not require an email address; you can create an account with just a username and password. Pick a username you can recognize that does not reveal sensitive personal information. Do not reuse a password from another website. Before submitting, check your keyboard input settings and save your login details somewhere secure and accessible. Do not rely solely on your browser remembering the password.
Once you have created your account, open the user dashboard and find “Account Overview.” This is where you can check your plan status, get your subscription, and view usage. If you are still on the login screen, sign in with the username and password you just saved. Do not create another account just because you cannot see a server list. If you have not chosen a plan yet, being able to access your account does not mean your subscription has usable data; you will confirm that in the next step.
If you already have an account, use the “Log in” link in the top navigation. When switching devices, sign in to your existing account to keep access to the same orders and subscription. Q7VPN supports unlimited simultaneously connected devices, so you do not need a separate account for each one. You will still need to configure the client on each device.
Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status
Open the plans section in the user dashboard and decide whether you expect to use the service regularly or only from time to time. Monthly subscriptions reset their data allowance each month on the activation date, making them a good fit for predictable usage. Data packages do not expire and last until used up, so they suit less frequent or less predictable use. Since the billing models differ, compare the included data and reset terms as well as the price.
Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Choose based on what you typically do: browsing and text interactions, streaming video, and file transfers use data differently. If you do not have usage records, use your recent needs as a guide. A data allowance is not a measure of connection speed.
After checking the plan name, price, and data allowance, create your order and pay as instructed in the dashboard. Q7VPN accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT; follow the current payment page for details. Return to the dashboard and check that the order is complete and the corresponding plan appears in your account overview. Closing the payment page or using the browser’s back button does not confirm payment. If the status has not updated, refresh the order and overview before considering another payment.
Q7VPN offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Check the adjustment shown in the dashboard before proceeding. To compare all plans, see plan pricing and billing details. If you have already chosen a plan, continue in the dashboard. Once the plan is active, get your subscription; this helps distinguish order-status issues from client connection problems.
Get Your Subscription from the Overview
Open the account overview and confirm your plan status and available data, then find the subscription section. The subscription link lets your client retrieve and update the server configuration for your account. It is not a web address for browsing or a client installer. Use the dashboard’s copy button where possible to avoid missing characters or copying nearby instructions by mistake.
If the dashboard offers one-click import, make sure the target client is installed first, then choose the option for that client. When the browser asks to open an app, check its name before proceeding. Return to the client to confirm the configuration was added. If the browser does not open the app, do not keep clicking. Copy the link and add it manually in the client’s subscription or configuration manager instead.
For manual import, check the pasted link for extra spaces or line breaks, and give the configuration a recognizable name, such as “Q7VPN Daily Servers.” Save it and refresh the client so it can load the server list. Do not paste your dashboard login URL into the subscription field or treat an example address as a working configuration. If the client reports an unsupported format, check the dashboard for an import option for your client.
Your subscription link may contain an account-specific identifier, so keep it confidential. When contacting support, do not share the full link or post it in a forum, screenshot caption, or unfamiliar online conversion tool. To use another device, get the link from the dashboard again. If you think it has been exposed, check whether the dashboard offers a reset option or contact support through a ticket. After resetting it, update the configuration on your other devices as well.
Download the Client and Import on Your Platform
Open the client section in the dashboard and select your device’s platform. You can download the client after signing in on Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux; you do not need to have purchased a plan. However, downloading the client does not mean a server is ready to use. Before connecting, confirm that you have a subscription and an active plan. For iOS, follow the availability instructions shown in the dashboard. The steps below use the Q7VPN client provided in the dashboard; if menu names differ, look for the equivalent feature.
Windows: Add Your Subscription in Configuration Manager
Download and install the Windows client from the dashboard. When you first open it, look for “Configuration,” “Subscription Manager,” or a similar option. If you use one-click import from the dashboard, make sure the browser opens the client you just installed. For manual import, choose the option to add a configuration by link, paste the subscription URL, and save it. Then refresh the list and confirm that the server names appear before selecting the newly imported configuration. Pasting a link into a field without saving or refreshing usually will not add selectable servers.
Choose a server and connect in the client, enabling the system proxy or network routing option as prompted. When setting things up for the first time, quit other running proxy tools to avoid conflicting settings. Change only one advanced option at a time. Keep the defaults, test the connection in a browser as described in the next section, and then decide whether to adjust which apps use the proxy.
macOS: Grant Permission, Then Enable the Configuration
Select the macOS client in the dashboard, install it, and open the app. If macOS requests network-related permission, verify the app’s source first, then follow the prompts in System Settings. Depending on your version, it may request permission for a VPN configuration or network extension; follow the client’s instructions. Do not disable system-wide security protections just to continue. Once permission is granted, return to the client, open its configuration or subscription section, add the link, and refresh the server list.
Set the new configuration as current, choose a server, and connect. If the window shows an active connection but your web traffic appears unchanged, check whether the client is actually connected and whether macOS is still waiting for permission. Other network tools on your Mac can also affect proxy settings; leave the current client running while troubleshooting. For more on network environments and access to AI tools, see the AI access guide. You do not need to adjust everything during the initial setup.
Android: Add a Configuration and Approve the System Connection
Sign in to the dashboard, get the Android client from the client section, and install it as prompted. Then open the subscription or configuration manager in the app. Import directly from the dashboard or paste the subscription link to add it manually. Once imported, refresh the configuration and check that the server list appears. If the list is empty, check the link and plan status before reinstalling the app repeatedly.
When you choose a server and tap Connect, Android may ask you to approve a VPN connection. Confirm that the request came from the client you are using, then return to the app and check its connection status. If another VPN app is running on your device, disconnect it first. Keep the client in the foreground for the initial test. Once basic access works, check how it behaves when you switch apps or lock the screen. If the connection drops only in the background, review the app’s background activity and battery settings.
iOS: Get and Import the Client from the Dashboard
On your iPhone or iPad, sign in to the dashboard and open the iOS option in the client section. The iOS download link is available only to users with an active paid plan; the dashboard will show the next steps based on your account status. Use the link provided in the dashboard. Do not substitute a similarly named app from search results or use an installer for another platform on iOS.
After installation, return to the dashboard and try the one-click import option for your client. If the browser asks to open the app, confirm. If the configuration is not added automatically, use the client’s configuration or subscription manager to import the link. Save and refresh, choose a server, and allow the client to add a VPN configuration when prompted by iOS. After granting permission, return to the client to check its status, then test a website you actually use. Seeing the VPN indicator means the connection configuration is enabled; it does not confirm that the target app is reachable.
Connect to a Server and Test Your Connection
Once the import is complete, choose a server that fits the region requirements of the service you need, then connect. Server names may include labels such as IEPL dedicated line, transit, or direct connection. You do not need to try every type when you first start; check whether your current selection works for your task. Service rules can depend on your region, so distance alone is not a reliable guide. For help choosing a server, see the server list and connection types.
Once connected, open the network check page to see the exit information detected by your browser and compare it with the region selected in the client. Results can be affected by caching, proxy mode, and IP geolocation data, so also open the website or app you actually need. A page that loads, an account that stays signed in, and a request that completes successfully are meaningful checks for your use case. A change in exit region alone does not mean every app is using the same route.
If websites work in your browser but a particular app does not, check whether it follows the system proxy or needs its own proxy settings. Command-line tools and IDE extensions especially need to be checked separately; browser access does not confirm they are using the connection. AI services may also determine availability based on account region, session, and service rules. A working network connection does not guarantee eligibility to use a third-party service. For troubleshooting, see the AI access guide.
If nothing can connect, check these items in order: the right configuration is selected, the subscription has updated, the plan is active, system permission has been granted, and no other network tools are running. Change one setting at a time and note the server name and symptoms so you can tell what made a difference. If requests stall in the evening, reproduce the issue in the same app before switching servers for comparison. Avoid changing the region, account, and client settings all at once, or it will be harder to identify the cause.
Once everything checks out, keep the working configuration and refresh your subscription as needed. If you still cannot connect, open a ticket from the support page and include your device platform, the error shown in the client, the selected server, and the steps you have tried. Hide your username, order details, and full subscription link in any screenshots. You have now checked your account, plan, subscription, client, and actual access. Continue troubleshooting the specific issue without starting over with account creation.
